Intimate Chicago Elopement at Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool // Katie and Tim

This intimate Chicago elopement was seriously one for the books.  Katie and Tim gathered their family members and closed off the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool for their special Elopement.  These two were just the happiest and most laid back couple. 

Katie and Tim describe themselves both as “very goofy people, we love being around close friends and family but are natural introverts.”  I love that these two prioritized themselves on their wedding day and created a day that felt like them surrounded by their favorite people.  They were both so low key and calm. The two of them put together such a beautiful and intimate wedding day to celebrate themselves with their families.

Getting Ready

Katie and Tim got ready at Hotel Lincoln on Clark Street in Chicago.  We kicked Tim out of the room as soon as he was dressed. That way Katie could put on her dress and her finishing touches without him seeing her.

Katie had her hair and makeup done beautifully by Pin Me Up Chicago and her family helped her with her finishing touches while Tim waited downstairs.

First Look

I LOVE that Katie and Tim decided to do a first look for their wedding day!!  There is something so intimate about seeing each other for the first time on your wedding day in private.  It gives you a chance to spend a little alone time together and get excited for the ceremony later in the day.

The Ceremony:

For Katie and Tim’s ceremony we headed over to Chicago’s Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool with their closest family members, they only had 8 guests which made their elopement so intimate and special!  This intimate ceremony was so freaking sweet and just filled with so much love.  Katie and Tim closed off the pond for their special day so they could have the beautiful space for themselves and their favorite people.

The Reception:

After the ceremony and portraits they reserved the John Wilkes Booth table at the J Parker (rooftop of Hotel Lincoln) for their intimate reception with their families.  They spent the afternoon sharing stories, laughing and enjoying each others company as they closed their absolutely gorgeous and intimate ceremony.
